Scott’s work seeks to rewire the labor market so job seekers skilled through alternative routes (STARs) can be seen for the skills they have, not screened out for the degree they don’t. Scott approaches this work with a design thinking lens- knowing that those closest to the challenge are often closest to the solution- and seeks to build an ecosystem that serves employers, STARs, and providers equally.
Prior to this role, Scott was at Year Up for 10+ years where he developed corporate partnerships for the West Coast, helped launch new markets, and led an human-centered design innovation lab. Scott is a Bay Area native and current resident of Sacramento, CA.
